The journey begins on the first day, where we’ll head towards the city of Marrakech, depending on your arrival time. On the second day, we’ll traverse the majestic High Atlas mountains, passing through Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate. We’ll spend the night in Boumalne Dades. On the third day, we’ll continue our adventure to the Merzouga Desert, where we’ll arrive in the evening, enjoy a camel ride, and spend the night in a traditional Berber camp.
On the fourth day, we’ll explore the desert area and visit Berber Nomads living in their authentic tents. Days five and six will be dedicated to discovering the culture and beauty of Marrakech. Finally, on the last day, we’ll make our way back to Agadir.
Our Luxury Sahara desert trip begins in the city of Agadir. We’ll pick you up from either the airport or your accommodation and take you to Marrakech for a half-day tour. Marrakech, the ancient imperial capital of Morocco, is a hub of commerce, rich in mosques, palaces, and gardens. After an exciting day of exploration, we’ll spend the night in this city.
On the second day of the 7 Day Agadir to Marrakech Tour, we will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and take you to our next destination. Our journey will begin as we depart from Marrakech towards the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou via the Tizi Ntichka pass. We will stop at a famous viewpoint at 2260 meters (6,867 ft.) for a breathtaking panoramic view. Next, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a renowned fortified village (Ksar) in Morocco. Lunch will be served at a traditional restaurant in Ait Ben Haddou.
Afterward, we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we will explore the Kasbah of Taourirte and the Atlas & CLA Studios, which have been the backdrop for many famous films. As a result, Ouarzazate is often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa.”
In the afternoon, we will travel to Boumalne Dades, passing through the Valley of the Roses, renowned for its vast rose harvest, which is used to produce perfume, rosewater, and cosmetics.
Another adventure begins as you depart from your accommodation after an early breakfast, heading towards the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Along the way, we will travel down the Thousand Kasbahs Road, passing through several Berber villages. We will make a stop at Todgha Gorges, a series of impressive limestone cliffs in Morocco’s Middle High Atlas Mountains.
Continuing our Marrakech desert tour, we will visit Tinejdad, a Berber village renowned for its palm groves. Next, we will stop at Jorf to explore the ancient irrigation system.
Our next destination is the city of Erfoud, located in southern Morocco, where you’ll have the chance to witness fossil craftsmen at work and explore the Date Market. By the end of the day, we will reach the Merzouga Desert and check into your accommodation.
The Merzouga Desert discovery tour, a highlight of our 7 Days Morocco itinerary, is an unforgettable experience. On this day, your driver will first take you to the Morocco National 4X4 Auto Museum, which belongs to a Qatari collector. Next, we will head to Khamlia, a small village about 6 kilometers from Merzouga, home to the Gnaoua people. Here, you’ll have the chance to enjoy their unique music, played with drums and castanets.
Following that, we’ll visit the ancient Mifis Mines, where the French once sourced salt and kohl during their colonization of Morocco. We’ll then take you to meet a nomadic Berber family living in tents, offering you a glimpse into their traditional lifestyle. Afterward, we will continue to Srij Lake, a place where camels are herded and flamingos migrate.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit Hassi Labied Oasis, a small oasis where you’ll see how tunnels are used to irrigate fields from wells. Finally, we’ll go on a camel ride from the foot of the sand dunes, guided by our expert camel team. They will lead you across the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you may be fortunate enough to witness the stunning sunset.
On the fifth day of our Private Marrakech desert trip, we will return to the city of Ouarzazate. After breakfast, we will take the camels back to the starting point of the desert journey. We will then head to Rissani, where we will visit its souk and admire the local crafts.
Next, we will travel towards Agdez, passing through the scenic Draa Valley on our way to Ouarzazate. Afterward, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains on our way to Marrakech, the red city of Morocco. Once in Marrakech, you will have some free time to explore.
Today, we will explore Marrakech, the second-oldest Imperial city in the world, which has long been a key destination for traders and travelers. Your visit will include the famous Jardin Majorelle, the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. A visit to the Koutoubia Mosque, with its towering 66-meter-high minaret, is also a highlight of Marrakech. In the afternoon, we will head to Jemaa El Fna Square, the lively central square of the medina, where local storytellers, singers, performers, snake charmers, and the delicious aromas of food cooked over hot coals create an unforgettable atmosphere as the sun sets.
