On the first day of your 10 Days Tangier to Casablanca tour, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation, the airport, or the port. Tangier, known as “the bride of the north,” is situated in the northwest where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean at Cape Spartel. Our Luxury Sahara desert trip begins with a visit to the city’s highlights, including the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel. After some free time for lunch, we’ll continue our journey inland to Chefchaouen, passing through the city of Tetouan and the scenic Rif Mountains. We’ll make stops along the way for panoramic views. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your accommodation for the night, where you can relax in a hotel in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast, your Marrakech desert tour continues with an exploration of Chefchaouen, the blue city, also known as Achaoun, which means “horns” in Berber. Located in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco, Chefchaouen is renowned for its striking blue and white-painted buildings and narrow alleyways. First, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the charming old Medina, where you’ll see numerous beautiful, authentic blue doors. After some free time for lunch, in the afternoon, you can hike to the Spanish Mosque, situated on higher ground. From there, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire blue city. You’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
On the third day of your 10 Days Morocco itinerary we’ll drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkable preservation. As you wander through the site, you’ll discover beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and impressive archways. After exploring the ruins, we’ll drive 30 km to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the capital of the Ismaili dynasty. Here, we’ll visit the iconic Bab Al-Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal Stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Finally, we’ll head to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.a
After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Fes to begin exploring this historic city, which is not only one of Morocco’s imperial cities but also its cultural and religious heart.
We start the day with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, followed by a tour of the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud) marks the entrance to the old Medina, where you’ll be guided through its narrow streets. Highlights include the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, the Tanneries, and the famous Quaraouin Mosque and University—the oldest continuously operating university in the world.
Next, we’ll leave the Medina to explore the Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah. The day concludes with a visit to an ancient fortress offering panoramic views of both the Medina and the entire city of Fes. Finally, we’ll return you to your riad for the evening.
After breakfast, your Morocco desert luxury tour continues south, passing through Imouzzer, on the way to Ifrane. Known for its cool temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architecture, Ifrane is often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” We’ll then head to the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Feel free to interact with and feed these playful monkeys as you explore the forest.
Next, we drive to Midelt, where you’ll have free time for lunch. Afterward, we journey through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the scenic Ziz Valley, making stops for panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Here, you’ll switch to camels for a ride across the sandy dunes, with a stop atop a high dune to enjoy the breathtaking sunset. We’ll continue to a desert camp, which combines traditional nomadic tents with the comfort of luxury accommodations. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy Berber drumming and dancing around a campfire under the vast, star-filled sky. Overnight stay in the camp.
After breakfast, we dedicate the day to exploring the Merzouga region, known for its stunning landscapes, including sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil areas, and beautiful oases—perfect for outdoor activities. Our Marrakech desert tour begins with an off-road drive to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Next, we’ll visit the nomads in their handwoven tents, where you’ll learn about their lifestyle while enjoying traditional Berber tea.
We’ll then head to the village of Khamlia, where you can experience a lively performance of Gnaoua music and dance. The villagers are originally from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Afterward, we’ll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we’ll take a stroll through the palm tree grove and drive a few kilometers to visit the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as the “lake of flamingos.”
Waking up early in the morning is essential to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the desert. After some free time for breakfast, we’ll depart from the desert and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading hub in the region, with its souk, especially lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After exploring the souk, we’ll continue our 10 Days Morocco itinerary to Erfoud, where we’ll visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble.
Next, we’ll drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, making our way to the stunning Todra Gorges. Carved by the Todra River, this impressive canyon, with its towering red cliffs, is a paradise for rock climbers. You’ll have time to wander through the gorges and admire the spectacular landscape. After a free time lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. We’ll make stops to see the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formation and enjoy a panoramic view from a mountain top overlooking the Dades Valley.
On the eighth day of your 10 Days Morocco itinerary we continue our journey to Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley, famous for its annual Rose Festival held every May. During the festival, locals showcase a variety of rose products, from perfumes and rose water to oils and cosmetics. We then drive through the palm groves of Skoura to visit the Amredhyle Kasbah before heading to Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, we’ll visit the film studios where famous movies have been shot, as well as the Taourirt Kasbah.
Next, we’ll visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This kasbah has been featured in numerous films. Afterward, we’ll explore the Telouet Kasbah before continuing our journey to Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass through the High Atlas Mountains. We’ll make stops for lunch and to take photos at scenic spots along the way. Finally, we’ll reach Marrakech for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
ter a hearty breakfast, we’ll begin exploring the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide. As one of Morocco’s imperial cities, Marrakech offers rich history and culture. The tour includes visits to the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic School. You’ll also have the chance to stroll through the largest traditional souk in Morocco. After some free time for lunch near Jemaa El-Fna Square, we’ll continue our Private Marrakech desert trip with visits to the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, and the stunning Majorelle Garden. Afterwards, we’ll transfer you back to your accommodation, giving you some free time to explore Jemaa El-Fna Square at your own pace.
On the final day of your Marrakech desert tour we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Depending on your flight schedule, we’ll drive to Casablanca, where, if time permits, we may visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque. Finally, we’ll drop you off at the airport, marking the end of your 10 Days Tangier to Casablanca tour.
